The salticid fang

Book cover
This brief paper is a republication of a note that appeared in the journal Peckhamia. It describes the cheliceral fangs of jumping spiders (Araneae, Salticidae). Fangs are serrated in the manner of tyrannosaur teeth (or serrated knives) for penetration, and bear a distal pore for the injection of venom into prey.
