My Lady of the North is a great work in which such genres as fiction, action and romance and history are mixed. The plot of the story is truly amazing and carrying away. It describes the events of Confederate Civil War and a man who served as a soldier there. He got injured and found himself in prison camp where he fell in love with a nurse. The ending is happy and truly amazing. Although the novel was written a lot time ago, it rises immortal questions such as love and happiness and would definitely be interesting for modern readers.
