May 2009 NZ Communications Ltd (Now named Two Degrees) is a New Zealand company building a third mobile phone network for New Zealanders, so Kiwis will have real choice and true competition in the mobile telephone market. 20% of NZ Communications is owned by Maori interests. Porirua is a part of this network, and we have 12 facilities proposed across the area, extensively researched and carefully chosen to provide the best balance between giving Porirua the best service possible, whilst minimising the impact on the community and their environment as best we can. For each area of Porirua we have 'Search Areas' that we look within to find a suitable site. This is the location in Titahi Bay which we have identified to meet our coverage requirements enabling our facility to serve all of Titahi Bay with our cell phone coverage.
