Professor Mary Schenck Woolman (1860-? ) was an American writer, lecturer and specialist in home economics. From 1902 until 1910 she was an instructor of domestic arts at Teachers College, Columbia University. She was the organizer and director of the Manhattan Trade School for Girls and the president of the Women's Educational and Industrial union. From 1912 until 1914 she was the head of the household economics department at Simmons College in Boston. Her works include: Home Making in the Vocational School (1900), The Making of a Trade School (1909), A Sewing Course (1911), Hints on Clothing (1911), Textiles: A Handbook for the Student and the Consumer (1913) and Clothing: Choice, Care, Cost (1920).
