Book cover
In Slippy McGee, Sometimes Known as the Butterfly Man a Catholic priest Father Armand Jean De Rancé describes the events that are happening in his life and in his surrounding in the town of Appleboro with most of its inhabitants being protestant but with a number of poor Catholic immigrants. Once one of such men with amputated leg gets to the Father and stays with him while he is recovering. After some time De Rancé understands that this man is a famous safecracker but keeps it in secret. As we see, the plot of the book is carrying away and truly interesting. The book is well-structured which makes it easy and enjoyable for reading.
