A collection of short stories by Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett, 18th Baron of Dunsany (1878 – 1957), an Anglo-Irish writer and dramatist, notable for his work, mostly in fantasy.
His stories of the supernatural can not be interpreted allegorically, or from scientific point of view. They are just magical. Dunsany was a creator of an imaginary, paradoxical world, where beauty, horror and irony reign.
