Hammond Chord Organ Comments, part 1 - 1952-1953

Book cover
Newsletter produced by the Hammond Organ Company for owners of its' S-series of Chord Organs. This file begins with the first issue, Volume 1, Number 1, from March, 1952, consecutively through issue Number 8, July, 1953. Includes arrangements of several famous melodies arranged for the chord organ such as Schubert's "Ave Maria," "Traumerei" by Schumann, Liszt's "Liebestraum," the Adagio from Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," some Christmas carols and more. These were probably arranged by Hammond engineer John Hannert, the inventor of the Hammond Chord Organ. The first issue says it best: "If you play the Chord Organ... this new little publication is for you. So many of the thousands of Chord Organ owners have written to us with questions about how to do some particular thing, that it seems like a good idea to put out a few pages now and then with answers to some of the most frequently asked questions."
