Eighth Century Minor Prophets: Amos, Hosea, Jonah & Micah
Amos, Hosea, Jonah and Micah all lived in the eighth century. They were from different backgrounds and had unique writing styles and vocabulary, but each one felt that God had called them to denounce the sins their own people (i.e. Jonah showed the sin in dramatic action). They pleaded for the people to repent but to no avail. However, each one predicted that God would deliver both Jews and Gentiles and preserve a future for them.
