New story from Lauren Weisberger

News cover New story from Lauren Weisberger
20 Aug 2010 21:35:30 This interesting story is about one woman Brooke who has got a struggling musician-husband Julian. All her life she worked, and now she has got two jobs, more over she faithfully attends all of Julian's performances.
He finally gets a big break: a record deal and a booking on "The Tonight Show." Julian suddenly becomes an "It" guy in the music world. He's got a publicist, wears expensive clothes and has the paparazzi following his every move.
Brooke, like many people, has a healthy appetite for Hollywood gossip. She subscribes to a popular celebrity magazine that she reads to escape her everyday life. She begins to realize how harmful these magazines can be when stories about her married life with Julian — stories that are often exaggerated and cruel — are written up in these publications.
As Julian becomes more famous, Brooke desperately wants to maintain a normal life. She wants to keep working and perhaps move to Brooklyn. Julian would rather she quit her job, and they move to a multimillion-dollar apartment in New York's TriBeCa neighborhood.
But Julian is never home. He's always flying to one place or another, performing and frequenting celeb hotspots like the Chateau Marmont on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.
It's not difficult to guess what happens to their relationship, but it's the details of the story that keep this novel interesting.
Weisberger has written books about the girl next door who ends up in a VIP world, whether it's at a high fashion magazine in "The Devil Wears Prada" or in public relations in "Everyone Worth Knowing."
If you like reading tabloid magazines, tracking the latest celebrity hookups, or are a fan of Weisberger's books, then "Last Night at Chateau Marmont" is the book for you.
