Today Lermina, who was also known under the pen-name William Cobb, is best remembered for his adventure epopee. “The Son of Monte-Cristo”, published in 1881, is a sequel to the popular classic The Count of Monte-Cristo, which was followed by The Treasure of Monte-Cristo in 1885.
