“A Christmas Mystery” belongs to the pen of a British novelist and short story writer William John Locke, who appeared to be one of the world popular authors of the early twentieth century. The Locke’s skill as a consummate master of sentimental prose launched him in to celebrity with publication of such works as The Glory of Clementina Wing (1911). His plays and novels reflect the author’s brilliant talent and subtle knowledge of women’s soul. This story was published in 1910, telling of three diverse men, traveling by train through the English countryside to spend Christmas in the same place.
