"The Mystery" is a sea adventure, where all events are taking place around an unexplainable force contained in a chest found on an island. It smacks of the Pandora box opened with the advent of the "Atomic Age". It should be admitted that though the book was written in the early 1900's, it is still full of interesting technical details. "The Mystery" is entertaining, a little weird, and serious book that is definitely will be a great reading for everyone who is interested in science fiction.
