RM_Ballantyne_Wrecked_but_not_Ruined
- Author: R.M. Ballantyne (1825-1894)
- Genre: Being a Teen
It could well be that this is the last book that Ballantyne wrote, for it was published in the year that he died. It is one of the sets of books that he wrote with youngsters in mind, who hadn't much cash. These books were all about 120 pages in length, and furnished with just one illustration, but all of good quality, and all teaching the lesson that Ballantyne wanted above all to get across to his readership, that an honest God-fearing life is the best one to lead. The setting is in Northern Canada, the area which Ballantyne knew so well from his young days with the Hudson Bay Company. First published 1895.
