The lovely bones

by Alice Sebold

A book of an American novelist of our time, Alice Sebold, has become bestseller in spite of a great deal of critic. It is a story of a young girl, whose life has been cruelly taken away. Being dead, she watches her friends and relatives find strength to overcome the pain and continue to live after a terrible loss. As time goes by, her friends and siblings grow up, fall in love, do all the things she never had the chance to do herself. However, Susie’s life is not quite over. “The Lovely Bones” is a bright and amazing novel of life and death, memory and forgetting, showing that even in hardest times there always is a gleam of hope.

Fantastic read. It's sad, but the author keeps you so wrapped up in the story that you forget who the main character is!

I haven't seen the movie, but I've read the book. I'm not sure if I want to see the movie, because movies are never as good as the books!

I saw the movie to and I must say that I don't like the end, when the killer gets to dispose of her body in that hole, and all the evidence of the crime was lost!!!I hope that the book gives a more well - merited punishment for the killer!!!!!
