The Sweet Far Thing

by Libba Bray

Gemma Doyle arrived on holidays to her own town. Gemma has relied on an unsuspected strength and has discovered an ability to travel to an enchanted world called the realms, where dark magic runs wild. Despite certain peril, Gemma has bound the magic to herself and forged unlikely new alliances. Now, as Gemma approaches her London debut, the time has come to test these bonds.

She and Ann link their arms through mine. I struggle to hold fast to my original intent. I repeat it silently as we near Mrs. Worthington:You see a friend in the crowd. You must go to her. As the last book in a huge trilogy, I was disappointed. Call me a sap, but I was really hoping for a happier ending! Anyway, it was still a good book. Depressing? Yes, but don't let that stop you from reading the trilogy.
